Hello everyone especially our two new followers. Put on POSITIVE head this morning; done 'work', finally joined chairsmith.blogspot.com - it's a wonderful dose of inspiration which gives me a dose of blog inadequacy every time I read it, but it also inspires me to try harder. Then I decided to show you some of the vintage Ercol armchairs we have taken under our wing. These are just a few, there are too many to show in one go and now I will get told off by Josh for only ever blogging about Ercol...sorry Josh!
Here we go..feast your eyes...I think my favourite is the solid elm seat 503 tub chair upholstered using the tea cups fabric...whats yours?

Hey...great blog!! I'm a new follower. My personal favorite is the green chair in the middle of the group of three. Thanks for the great ideas. I'll keep reading.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, just stopped by to borrow a link for a tweet, and we see our name up in lights .... right here, on Love Vintage Furniture - one of our favourite places. Chuffed to bits, thank you! Oh, and the chair in the last picture is a real beauty.
ReplyDeleteHi Lindsey, I really wanted to send you a personal message to say thank-you for subscribing to our blog but there seem to be gremlins in my google connect account and it will not let me! So here is a on display thank - you. If I recollect, the lime-green fabric is one by Designers Guild, like all Ercol, it's a fantastically comfy chair!
ReplyDeleteChairsmith you deserve it - your blog is delicious enough to eat! That beauty is Ercol model no 442, beech frame with beautiful figured English Elm for the upswept arms. I think its the only easy chair Ercol ever made with elm arms. We used Designers Guild CONWAY linen for that one, it worked perfectly.
